Cancellation Policy

1.1 The cancellation terms for bookings made at Pé na Areia Guest House vary depending on seasonality, holiday periods and the rate type selected at the time of booking.

1.2 The applicable cancellation policy will always be the one in force on the date the booking is confirmed, and properly communicated to the guest.

1.3 Low Season (October to April)

a) Cancellations made up to 3 days before the check-in date are free of charge, and the amount paid will be refunded, where applicable.

b) Cancellations made less than 3 days in advance, as well as no-shows, will be charged 100% of the first night, with no refund.

1.4 High Season (May to September)

a) Cancellations made up to 7 days before the check-in date are free of charge.

b) Cancellations made less than 7 days in advance, as well as no-shows, will be charged 100% of the total booking amount, with no refund.

1.5 Special Periods – National Holidays and Festive Dates

1.5.1 Special Periods are considered to be bookings that include national holidays, long weekends, festive seasons and other high-demand dates, including but not limited to:

• • Christmas and New Year
  • Easter
  • Carnival
  • National holidays
  • Other festive periods defined by Pé na Areia Guest House

1.5.2 For bookings made during Special Periods, stricter cancellation conditions apply, namely:

• Free cancellation only up to 7 days before the check-in date;
• Cancellations made less than 7 days in advance, as well as no-shows, will be charged 100% of the total booking amount, with no refund.

1.6 Whenever a booking overlaps more than one period (low season and a holiday, for example), the stricter cancellation policy will apply.

1.7 In the event of early departure, there will be no refund for the amounts corresponding to unused nights.

1.8 Date changes are subject to guest house availability and may result in a change to the booking price.

1.9 For bookings made through external platforms (e.g., Booking, Airbnb or others), only the cancellation policies defined on those platforms apply, and Pé na Areia Guest House is not responsible for any discrepancies in their respective terms.

1.10 Pé na Areia Guest House reserves the right to assess exceptional situations of force majeure, duly proven, without this constituting an obligation.
